Bro, it's your birthday!

Bro, it's your birthday!

Hey, Terri here! I don't know about you but one of the things I struggle with most as a crafter is card ideas for teenage boys/ young males... well today I am sharing a card inspired my son and his upcoming 19th birthday, hopefully it will inspire you.

I started off by stamping my chosen images from Screen Time, Lawn Fawn's gaming themed stamp set onto some 80lb Neenah solar crest cardstock using MFT's Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. (The two kids represent my son and daughter) This ink is fantastic as it does eveything, I usually let my stamped images sit for a while to dry or heat set them to guarentee there will be no bleeding when using alcohol markers, this is a habbit more than a requirment.

I coloured the image with alcohol markers and added white gel pen highlights. I then cut them out. Next I die cut the word Bro from teal card twice using Henry's ABCs die set, I stacked them together using the Jumbo Glue Tube from Lawn Fawn.

To cretae the background I used up scraps from my bits box, I cut a white card measuring 3.75" by 5" and added the patterned paper to the lower half, I then added a thin white strip to act as skirting board. Using an oval die I cut another scrap of patterned paper to create the rug. I added a piece of stripped rainbow paper to an A2 card and then added the panel using the Jumbo Glue Tube.

I adhered the die cut letters and then stamped the two sentiments in black using MFT's Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I added the images using Waffle Flower's foam adhesive strips trimmed to size.

I'm really happy with how this card turned out, I hope you like it too.
