Fall Winter 2020 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Tara here today with a card I made for a double purpose - a card for a friends autumnal birthday and cos the lovely Mochi Fall Girl from Stamping Bella is holding a steaming mug of coffee to keep her warm, it's my make for this years fall/winter coffee lovers blog hop which starts today.   Head to the main post to find out all about it and the prizes you can win (including a £15 voucher to spend at Seven Hills Crafts).  http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2020/11/2020-fall-winter-coffee-lovers-blog-hop/

For my card I stamped the girl onto Cartridge Paper (Windor & Newton) so I could do so watercolour pencil colouring of her face, hair and the leaves in her hair.  For the rest of her outfit and mug and stamped onto patterned paper and coloured card so I could paper-piece them.  A little pencil shading on top helps give the paper-piecing more depth and realism and its quicker than colouring whole image whilst adding fun pattern too.

I framed her with more leaves using the Lots of Leaves Die from MFT ink blended with distress oxides and finished with a birthday sentiment stamped over the top.   To add a bit more interest I used some gold watercolour paint to add some splatters for those shimmery bits you see on a crisp autumn walk.
