Fresh Cut Florals

I've challenged myself to use a stamp set in the sale section for todays card and after a look through my stamps I found Wplus9's More Fresh Cuts set. I had a play with stamping out the images and seeing how I could make a background on a strip of card. I settled on the idea of using just one type of flower and colour way to make this ditsy floral background which came together quite well....
I think this set was one of the earlier layering sets and the images have some lovely details, this little flower has four stamps to layer so I used two shades of red and green along with a white centre spot. I find it easier to make the pattern up by stamping both the stems and blooms as I work my way down the piece of card. That way I can twist and turn the image knowing they'll fit in the pattern well.
I heat embossed the sentiment in white then blended the same red ink over the top to make a matching sentiment banner. The white frame was leftover in my stash and I thought it looked good as an extra element to frame the sentiment. It's a clean and simple design to showcase the pretty floral pattern and another Birthday Card added to my collection :)
Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
