Friendly Florals

Friendly Florals

Hey stampers, Anni here!

My favourite part of cardmaking is colouring. With the extra time I have on hand at the moment I love to dive into the colouring for hours.

This time I decided to go with watercolours. I still find it difficult to use them. Maybe because I don't have the same control I have with other medium. Oddly enough I find it easier to colour flowers than critters.

For this set of cards I chose Neat & Tangled's Friendly Florals. I stamped all the image in the set a few times with a light ink. I used a light ink because I wanted to do some no line colouring again.

When the colouring was finished I cut out all the images. There are coordinating dies available.

I went through my stash and looked for die cut sentiments to go with the flowers. The Birthday in My Favorite Things' Cause For Celebration went well with the biggest flower. For the middle sized flowers I decided to make my own die cut word using My Favorite Things' Small Letters Uppercase. I die cut the Birthday word and the letters several times and stacked them up. I chose cardstock that was just a tiny bit darker than my panel to get a subtle effect.

Then I assembled my cards using the same layout for the cards with the same flower.

Beside the colouring the cards took no time at all and I still have a lot of the smallest flowers for further cards. Maybe you will see them in the future.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.
