Friends Fur-ever

Jen on the blog today (I know a day early) and today I am showing you how to rescue stamping mess ups as well as partial non-die cutting for images that do not have matching dies.

I nearly always re-stamp over my coloured images using Versafine clair nocture ink... and i always use a piece of acetate to check it lines up but for some reason this week i didn't.  So after colouring  Milo and Lucy with my alcohol markers I restamped it with the stamp positioning tool and it was slightly off.

Instead of throwing it away and starting again I had the random idea to make the most of it and add some random doodles to the image outline and within the image to make it look like it should be that way ... I absolutely love how it turned out and hope i can replicate it again!

I then decided that instead of my usual fussy cutting I wanted a faux partial die cut look. So using my trimmer i Cut to the image on each side then cut around the rest of my image with scissors.  I added some more doodle to the white panel.

For the back ground I used the Concord and 9th Stitched Stripe card front die which i love directly onto a aqua coloured card based that matched the image.

I then stamped and embossed a simple sentiment from MFT Itty Bitty love and cut out using The Greetery Pre-text banners dies before mounting it at the top of the card.

This has to be one of my favourite cards I have made this year and it all came out of a mistake in stamping.

Hope you all have a great Friday.  Tara will be back tomorrow in my place.

Jen xx
