Grungy Flappy Birthday

Grungy Flappy Birthday

Hi there, Terri here today! Today I am sharing another card using the Batty For You stamp set from Lawn Fawn! This time I'm creating a more grungy/goth inspired card. I actually made this card for my daughters 21st birthday (she alternative)

I started by stamping all of my chosen images from both the Fangtastic Friends  and Batty For You stamp set onto 110lb super smooth white cardstock. I stamped in an alcohol friendly ink as I knew I'd be using my trusty markers to colour.

I kept the images mostly grey and black because I wanted a dark feel to the card. I added white gel pen highlights and stickles for highlights, as if the moon where reflecting onto the images. I then cut them using the coordinating die set.

To create the background I used a Cloudy Stencil along with grey and black distress oxide inks. I added inky splatters of balck and white and then sparkle for added texture in the sky. I trimmed the background to measure 4inch by 5.25 inches and added it to a black A2 notecard.

Now the fun part started, laying out the scene and working out where my sentiment would go.  Once I was happy I adhered the imges using glue and then stamped the sub sentiments in black ink using Henry's Jr's ABCs Stamp Set. I die cut the word Flappy using Henry's ABCs Dies. It's currnetly out of stock but you can sing up to be notified when it's back, add it to your wish list too, that way we know how many people are wanting it and it helps with stock levels!

I adhered the die cut letters and adde ssome glitter glue an dwhite gel pen highlights. I then used one of the tiny stamps that says flap aroud the bat, I love how this looks, it's really brings the bat to life.

I'm really pleased with how this card turned out and so was my daughter. Thank you for stopping by today.
