I've made a card for todays blog post that would be great for the younger generation although I wouldn't mind a pair of these to be honest :) I was so pleased when MFT bought the Headphone dies back with there vault release as they're such a good size and fun for making in bright funky colours too....

I cut the base shape in black card then used bright green to cut the layer details. Before attacching the green pieces I used distress oxide inks to add shading with a sponge dauber and brushed white pigment ink onto the edges of the black ear pieces for highlights. I also cut two extra earcups in green so I could trim off the small outer discs and add them to the black layer as well. For a sentiment I thought I'd use one phrase and repeat stamp it across the card front and offset it on subsequent rows..... using a stamp positioner made this a whole lot easier....

I used black ink to stamp one of the phrases to make it stand out and added a small star to break up the repeats. To balance up the layout I used a couple of halftone stars in bright green then I added the headphones with foam pads and used a piece of cord as a wire.... don't they look smart in that lush green colour? Another card for my stash suitable for a guy :)
