Meadow Flowers

Meadow Flowers

I thought I'd add to my birthday card collection this week and felt inspired by all the beautiful wildflowers currently blooming in one of our local parks.... I'm loving the effort the local councils are putting in to attract insects and make the green spaces look so colourful :)

I have inked up the Wild Meadow border and used Polychrome pencils to colour the flowers and greenery. I've used the coordinating die to cut the image out but this is currently out of stock, you could easily use scissors if you have a steady hand and like fussy cutting :) I have made my own top fold card base that's the same width as the floral border and then lightly blended Limestone ink through Altenew's Stone Wall stencil on the top two thirds of the card base...

I like the pale neutral background and the stone effect is rather fitting for a floral border too. To add a sentiment and finish off the border I heat embossed a birthday message from Avery Elle's Handwritten Notes.... another oldie but very useful stamp set.

That splash of colour will be sure to make somebody smile on their birthday :)

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
