Peachy Keen Birthday Card

Peachy Keen Birthday Card

Hi everybody, it's Ruby here. I hope you've had a good week, despite the weather. I don't mind the rain, but I know a lot of people are fed up of it.

I'm sharing a peach card with you today. It's a set I've had for a while. It needed some love. I wanted something quite fresh to brighten someone's day. Here's how it comes together:

  1. Using The Greetery's Print Shop: Peachy Keen Stamp & Stencil Set, stencil the peaches, flowers and leaves onto a rectangular white cardstock panel. I used Altenew's die inks in Coral Bliss, Pink Pearl, Rouge, Grass Field and Shadow Creek.

  2. Next, using The Greetery's Peachy Keen stamp set, add the details to the peaches, flowers and leaves using the same dye inks. I didn't need the dies this time, but I'd recommend getting the Print Shop: Peach Keen Dies at the same time, as there are loads of fabulous stamps in the set.

  3. Once dry, die-cut the panel with a rectangular die. NB. Make sure it is dry as the tape can tear the card otherwise.

  4. Attach the stencilled panel to a white card base.

  5. Next, die cut the Sparkled Frame Die by Altenew in white cardstock. Die-cut this three times and layer the frames on each other to create a stacked 'chipboard' effect. Altenew used to do a frame die, but they discontinued it, so when I saw this one, I had to get it! It's so useful to pop behind florals etc.

  6. Using the oval that cuts when you cut the frame, stamp the sentiments and add a little peach. I used Tim Holtz's Gathered Twigs Distress Ink

  7. Attach the frame and oval to the card base. NB. You may have to gently squeeze the oval into the centre of the frame as it's a snug fit.

  8. Add paint splats to finish. I used gold acrylic ink and watered down some Tim Holtz's Gathered Twigs Distress Ink for the brown.

  9. Add gems to finish.

The Greetery made it easy to create the lovely stencilled panel. Everything lines up perfectly, and the leaves stamps are all in one piece, which saves lots of time. I'm definitely going to have to use this set more, it's so bright and cheery!

I hope you have a great rest of the week, and of course that it's peachy!!
