Hello and Happy New Year to you all, I'm back after the Christmas break with a delve into my older stamp sets to make this cute birthday card featuring MFT's Party Penguins.....

These are simple little chaps to stamp out as they're a very basic layering set. I have used scissors to trim them out but dies are available here which makes cutting out the accessories a lot easier. As a background for these party-goers I used MFT's Ride the Wave die and a few scraps of patterned papers from my stash draw in shades of aqua and blue.... I love the patchwork style the mix of colours and patterns give.

Rather than place the wave across the card, I used a small rectangle die to cut a narrow aperture down the side of a card panel so I could tuck the pieces inside the window.... I trimmed the pieces at the other end to create a gradiant too. I placed a piece of patterned paper behind the panel to make a snowy sky and then added my parade of penguins complete with banner, party hats and cake.

Inside the card I added this sentiment from the set which I have cut apart so I can use it in different ways.... the fun wonky font lends itself to stamping the words at jaunty angles.
