Personalised Cards

Personalised Cards

Hello! Deborah here with you today, and in a change to my recent posts, I've got a couple of birthday cards to share with you today.

I've made personalised cards for my great niece and nephew. I had plans of balloons and parcels, but instead I created these fun backgrounds. I've had Altenew's Spheres and Spirals stamps since they were released, but this is the first time I've used them!! When I was a kid I loved playing with my spirograph, and these stamps remind me of that toy. I used standard UK DL size cards and cut coloured card to fit. On both cards I used the large 'star' stamp in the top right corner and stamped one of the smaller stamps inside in a contrasting colour. I then stamped some of the other geometric shapes around the card. I used blues and greens on Nico's card and pink and peaches on Lexi's. I added smaller 'confetti' like images using the smaller stamps from Concord & 9th's All the Birthdays stamp set.

In August, I stamped lots of different backgrounds with Concord & 9th's Painted Dots Turnabout stamp. I used several in cards for my post, but had some left over. I used the left-overs for the names and numbers. I used Concord & 9th's All the Letters dies and All the Numbers dies to cut the required letters and numbers. I like the clean, crisp, slimline look of these letters and numbers. They also make it very easy to fit longer words on to a card. I adhered the letters and numbers to the card panels and glue each panel to the front of the DL card. I outlined each letter with a fine black marker pen and also added a simple birthday greeting .

On the inside of each card, I stamped a larger birthday greeting using stamps from All the Birthdays. I also stamped a few more of the lovely geometric designs. I'm pleased how they turned out and I'm sure the kids will love, especially as they'll have gifts inside!

That's all from me today. See you again soon.

Deborah, x
