Present Time!

Present Time!

Who doesn't like a present all wrapped up in pretty paper... even better still is a pile of different shaped parcels and with this stamp set you can coordinate the gift wrap too....

Mama Elephant's Colour Block Gift stamp set is a fun addition to your stamp collection, the solid blocks dont just have to stay that way you can add your own design gift wrapping. I browsed Pinterest for a colour combo and settled on these yellows purples and greys then selected my parcel sizes. You will need to prep these solid stamps before inking the first time, I either rub them with my thumb or a pencil eraser, then the ink sits on the surface better.

These blocks are easy to mask around the edge and add your own patterns to, have a search through your stamps for small images or shapes you can use. The stars and dots are from a Flora and Fauna set and stamp sets like Concord & 9th's Playful Patterns and Background Blocks are perfect to use too. The spotty parcel is a patterned block and I've used an embossing stylus dabbed onto a pigment inkpad to add colour over the white dots. To make a lovely yellow ribbon on the purple parcel I masked the squares, which only requires four right angled pieces of tape or paper, then I sponged yellow ink into the cross shape. The bow is a retired die I have in my stash.

The card base has been stamped with the Four Corners Background in Light Grey ink and I used a knife and ruler to cut around the parcels then arranged them.... ahh such colour coordination makes me happy :)

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
