Quick Masculine Makes

I quite like making masculine cards as I drawn much more to blues and greens and greys when crafting over the warmer end of the rainbow, so one of the latest Savvy Sentiment sets from Colorado Craft Company was top of my list to get inky this weekend to make some male birthday cards for my stash. So here's what I did with Savvy Sentiments Old Chap

First off I made a card using the little images to make a "chap" resplendent in his bowler hat. Just stamped in black with a touch of green colouring on his tie to match my sentiment banner. The layout of this card was actually designed by accident, as I'd got ink on my thumb when I picked up the card and it got a smudge!

So I decided to stamp my sentiment on a strip of card to cover it up adding a darker green behind to define it and popping my chap off to the side. Happy Accident as the great Bob Ross would say.

For the second card I decided to play with more strips of card, this time I just stamped lots of the lovely little solid moustache so I could use the fun "fan{tasche}tic" sentiment. I just stamped them in rows so they lined up, then offset them so they crossed (easier to do if you line them up first) and cut them at an angle at the end and set everything from the right not the left for a change.

Very quick and easy but bold and fun too. Hope they inspire you to be less scared of masculine makes.

NEWS FROM THE STORE

It's been a tricky week and next week we will continue to have discussions with specialists regarding our options of EU shipping - we'll keep you posted.
We also found out that our June shipment from Waffle Flower is officially lost so we have to order (and pay for it) again. We'll do that along with the July release which has a Christmas theme so hopefully it will get here without issue for those of you keen to get an early start on holiday card making.....
We are working on adding our Hero Arts order to store but as we'll be back on order packing tomorrow and it takes a few days to catch up each week after the weekend's orders.
The latest MFT release, and the Birdie Brown vault is in transit and we'll try and get that in store for release day.
Sugar Pea Designs is in transit along with restocks and some "new" items from Purple Onion Designs.
The latest release from Reverse Confetti is in transit too.
We are ordering more new items from Altenew and Ranger too.
