Seasonal Corners

Seasonal Corners

It's my favourite time of the year, yes Autumn is knocking on the door and waiting to shower us with lots of lovely colours so that gives me the great excuse to start my seasonal cardmaking.

I love nature inspired designs, especially wreaths but this little arrangement takes on a different shape... the foliage and berries just suited corner clusters instead.

The leaves and berry twigs are dies from the All Season die set and the leafy stems are from the Sweater Weather dies, both of which are by Concord & 9th. Not only is it easier to cut the pieces from plain white card but it means you can use sponge daubers and Distress Oxide inks to give them unique colours... especially the leaves.

Using the Waffleflower Mini Media mat makes the inky job quick and easy. Once they were dry I set about arranging the leaves and berries.... I snipped the leafy stems apart so they didnt look too symmetrical.

For the sentiment I used Concord & 9th's Sophisticated Script.... I recommend stamping out the wording first on scrap paper to practice but also to work out spacing and size of finished sentiment.

I chose a nice warm brown for the sentiment to keep in with the autumn palette... ahh those colours are so striking against the white card base, seasonal simplicity is all you need.

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
