Selfie Party Pics
Hello, Tallie here with you today with this fun party-themed birthday card! Featuring the MFT Picture Perfect Party Animals stamp, you can just imagine these animals having the time of their lives and taking many a selfie!
This one took a little bit to set up, with a little creative use of Post-It Note masks and a pen and ruler. I started out by stamping the parrot pic just slightly off the page - this gives it a more interesting composition. I then measured 0.5cm/1.5cm around the edges for the classic selfie-Polaroid look and drew in the lines with an alcohol friendly marker. I repeated this for the other two pictures, overlapping them so the final effect looked stacked.
Next, my favourite part: the colouring! I really had fun with this and my Copic markers, using some bright, bold primary and secondary colours inkeeping with the party theme. I always colour in the background first to ensure there is no colour bleed. A little grey marker shadow helped to give a little dimension to an otherwise flat design.
The final touch was to add a sentiment from the MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp.
