I decided to break out the florals for todays card, I have a few birthdays coming up and the lovely sunny Easter weekend got me in the mood for pretty coloured flowers...

These Altenew Bold Bunch stamps are solid style images but they do contain some layering options. I roughly planned out where I wanted my swathe of flowers and leaves to be on a piece of copy paper before stamping them out on the card panel. There are a few different ways to add detail to solid stamps and as you can see I have used some on my card.

You can add two different ink colours to the stamp, I did this with the darker layer on the large yellow flower at the base of the card by swiping an orange inkpad at the base of the stamp. I have also added small dots to some of the images by pressing an embossing tool into an inkpad and applying a dot to the image. Another way is to use coloured pencils to add some shadow to the shapes as I have done with the small blue and pink flowers.

For a sentiment I used The Greetery Sentiment Starters dies and Mama Elephants Birthday messages... I think they pair really nicely as the fonts are quite a contrast. I love the dies, the script font is so pretty and they die cut beautifully too.
