Slimline Silhouettes

Slimline Silhouettes

I dont know about you but I keep seeing slimline cards everywhere online and I love them. I decided to grab a few dies and a stamp set and create a summer inspired birthday card.

I chose to use the large slimline with slides die from Lawn Fawn to create my die cut layers, I cut 3 of the large stitched rectangles, one for each section on the card.  I inked them with Distress Oxide inks.

I used the Slimline stitched hillside borders dies to cut two of the piece to size, creating a sea and sand section. I like cutting them from full piece which are cut with the stitched edge die so when they layer together the stitching matches up.

I stamped the images using the Flamazing  set from MFT, I chose to stamp in black, creating silhouettes as I htink it contrasts really well against the ink blended background.

The sentiments were white heat embossed onto black card and adhered with foam tape. I'm really pleased with how it turned out and will be making more Slimline card in the future.
