Surprise Gifts

I couldn't resist the presents stamp set and die sets from MFT, oh and that alphabet of course... such fun :) I decided to make an interactive card using the gifts which contain part of the sentiment when you lift the lid...

It's a very simple design which you can esily find instructions for on You Tube. All you need is to have a raised panel on the front of your card that contains openings/slits for the pieces of card to slide through and you simply hide the openings with the colourful presents. Luckily the two largest gifts are a good size for the alpha dies and all you have to remember is to leave enough space for the letters behind the panel when they're in the down/hidden position.

I chose bright colours to match a piece of patterned paper I wanted to use on the card base and added the first part of the sentiment using Mama Elephants Kissie alpha stamps. The solid gift stamps come in three patterns and I changed them up slightly by using white gel pen and a blue fineliner pen along with a ruler to add more stripes and a check pattern. The stamp set also contains dots which I used to change up the middle gift as well....

I'm still deciding whether to add a small 'open me' label to one of the parcels... I think its quite obvious the lids are loose but it's something I can add if I need too :) Oh and apologies for the lighting on the photos.... still waiting for bright skies to return here!!

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
