Hello, Tallie here again with you today. I brought out my pencils again today to create this simple but colourful scene card that features the Colorado Craft Company Anita Jeram A Fox's Life and Happy Day stamp sets. It probably took me just as long to create as a full panel scene card - I'm slow in pencils - but I love the overall look!

I started off by stamping out the cute little fox scene from A Fox's Life in some Lawn Fawn Jellyfish ink. I love this scene - two foxes, on the beach, listening to the waves through sea shells.

I then started in with my coloured pencils. I used a mix of my Prismacolors and Arteza pencils to get the depth of colour, starting with the background. I think a sunset scene has more dramatic lighting so I chose some pinks, oranges and yellows to go with my teal sky. I kept to darker blues for the sea, differentiating the frothy waves with some white gel pen. I chose some bright oranges and browns for the foxes, making sure to add in the depth of shadows created by the setting sun.

I finished off the scene by stamping out the simple ‘little things’ sentiment from the Happy Day stamp set.

This card turned out really well. I love that the CCC Anita Jeram stamp sets give you the opportunity to practice your colouring skills in a variety of media, and you get a card out at the end of it!
