Underwater Birthday Wishes
Hello, Tallie here. I'm back today with an underwater scene birthday card, featuring the Avery Elle Underwater Friends, Underwater Background Builder and Everyday Circles stamp sets. As soon as I saw these stamps I knew there would be many underwater scenes on the horizon!
I started out by stamping the background onto a blending cardstock panel in some Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. These take up the majority of the card so I stamped them out on either side. I added in a few little bits of seaweed and fish, just to fill out the scene. I stamped out the mermaid on a seperate piece of cardstock.
I then coloured in with my Copic markers. I went to town with the hair flicking and added plenty of dot/line texture to the tail to show the texture. I fussy cut out the mermaid, using a black marker to go around the edges and fill in any white edges peeking out.
The final touch was to stamp out the sentiment at the top centre of the card.
I really love the background sets for creating scenes like this one!
