Vintage Ices
Okay, so I'm onto summer vibes today with a card that's admittedly a bit on the busy side but I just love these ice creams and the vintage feel colours....
I've used a cream card base and the Cool Treats Turnabout with four pigment ink colours to make a background, some of the inks did not transfer as well as others and that was the fault of a 'not very juicy' inkpad but I quite like the faded effect. In hindsight a large sentiment would have looked great on this background but the Cool Treats die was calling so I made three ices using card, that roughly matched the ink...
I'm on a mission to use up excess die cuts and scraps so I found the components of the circular focal point and luckily it matched colourwise. I die cut a banner from the Shadow Box Ocean die set and added the sentiment using Mama Elephants Bella letters and Colour Me fonts. I used a circle of vellum under the focal point to try and bring it forward out of the background and I'm pleased it had the desired affect.
I think the ices all look quite delicious especially that vanilla cone!!
