Virtual Celebrations

Virtual Celebrations

I have a card that's quite suitable for the current cicumstances with meetings happening over Zoom and the likes becoming the normal. I've used the computer moniter die from MFT for recreational use instead of home-schooling and someone has bought the red wine to this party....

I cut and layered two monitors for dimension and then found a scrap of pretty patterned paper to use for the screen. The wine bottle and glass from Sugar Pea Designs Backyard BBQ die set are the perfect size to fit in the screen and I coloured them using Distress Oxide inks. The wording on the screen is from Avery Elle's Happy Hour... again, it fits just right and I embossed the larger word in black glittery powder for some sparkle.

For a simple background I blended inks through one of MFT's Star Confetti stencils in three different colours to coordinate with the shades on the screen, I decided to use just one stencil for a more subtle backdrop. I had lots of different ideas for a sentiment but decided to go with this one from MFT's A Toast To You.... that would be my sentiments exactly ;)

Finally, you can't have a party without balloons... even a virtual one so I added a few and then, to balance the design, I attached a homemade mouse to the computer... even though technically they don't attach to the screen!! Lets just pretend eh :)

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
