Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing a new home card using lots of Lawn Fawn produts.

I started by stamping some images from the Wood You Be Mine Stamp Set, I stamped the Beaver, Bow and Bullrushes in alcohol friendly ink onto 110lb Neenah Solar crest cardstock. I then used my alcohol markers to add colour. I cut the images using the coordinating die set.

Next I started working on the Build-A-Cabin, I cut the cabin from white cardstock and adde some light grey shading. I cut the door, roofline, window frames and chimney accent from texture brown cardstock. I adhered these elements and then cut the lights and heart that hangs above the door. I decided to add a little glitter to the heart for added sparkle. Behind the windows and door I added a layer of vellum and then some yellow cardstock to give the illusion of lights inside.

For the background I used the Cloudy Stencil and some light blue ink to blend the cloudy sky. I then added the hill using the Slimline Grassy Hillside Borders Die. I cut from green cardstock and added some darker green distress oxide ink, blended from the outside in and also some inky splatters in green and white.

I adhered the grassy hill to the bottom of an A2 notecard,  leaving room to tuck the cabin into the top. I then added the Bullrushes either side of the cabin.

The sentiment was creted using Henry's ABCs dies for the die cut "Home", I cut once from white and once from textured brown card and layered them together with a little drop shadow. I then white heat embossed the words "home sweet" using Jessie's ABC stamp set onto a pink banner. All that was left to do was add all of the die cut elements to the card and then add white gel pen highlights.
