Congrats - Proud as a Peacock!
Hello, I'm back today with a fun and bright congratulations card featuring the Lawn Fawn Peacock Before 'n Afters stamp set and Finley's ABCs dies.
I started out by stamping the peacock from the Lawn Fawn Peacock Before 'n Afters stamp set towards the top centre of the card. I used MFT Extreme Black Ink and some blending cardstock so my Copic markers would not bleed. I coloured him in with some bright blue-greens and green markers.
The sentiment is made up of two pieces - a simple lower sentiment from the stamp set and a custom 'CONGRATS' made from the Finley's ABCs dies. I cut one lot from Lawn Fawn Mermaid cardstock and two from some white cardstock, stacking them together to create some dimension. The letters would not fit straight across the width of the card, so I adhered them higgaldy-piggedy. A couple of Copic markers helped to liven up the flat cardstock and a layer of Wink of Stella helped it to stand out even more!
A final finishing touch of some teal stars stamped around the peacock finished off this card nicely. Perfect for a friend who has just successfully defended their PhD!
