Father's Day is just around the corner and I thought Concord & 9ths Home Grown die set would be just the thing to make a card.... with a pun of course :)

I cut three Beetroot and there leaves in white card so I could blend Distress Oxide ink onto them, I added line details to the leaves and beet by using an old dried up felt tip pen and dabbed it repeatedly onto the ink pad to transfer the colour to the die cut.... seemed to work okay :) I arranged them into a bunch using glue and foam pads then tied a length of thin jute twine around the stalks. I found part of a stamped background in my stash so I tore it down into a wide strip and attached it to my card base.

I used the computer to make my sentiment, leaving space for the Sugar Pea Designs Dad word die, which I then cut using a circle die. I felt it needed something linear behind the circle so I used the twine dies from Waffleflower to cut three lines in the same dark card and I think that finishes it off perfectly :)
