As you know, this Sunday is Father's Day so I thought I'd put my Pint Sized die set to good use on a suitable card...

I had fun colouring these pints of beer using Distress Inks to start with and then adding shading detail with Polychrome Pencils and white gel pen. the dies cut an inner piece to layer on top of the glass shape which I cut in white and shaded with grey tones to give the effect of glass. For the frothy heads I used Hero Arts white Puff embossing powder onto the die cut pieces to make them raised and... well... frothy like!

The background panel is a piece of brown textured card which I have lightly sponged brown distress ink onto where the glasses would sit and then added a heat embossed sentiment from Waffleflowers Be Him, I like how it gives a grounding for the glasses. I love its clean and simple design and that fun froth on the glasses too.... anyone else feeling thirsty now?!
