The brand new release from Mama Elephant just went live and as we've had it a few days I was lucky enough to ink up the sloths (my spirit animal!) last night and do a bit of colouring whilst watching TV.  So here's my Sundays are for sleep-ins take it easy card....

I stamped a selection of the super cute sloths from Little Sloth Agenda using Versafine Clair ink in Acorn.   Using brown instead of black to do the stamping just gives a softer look and ties the stamping to the colouring.  I took them down a more gingery route as I based it on a photo I found online that I really liked.  I used that to add the extra details around their eyes, nose and mouth too.   I used my pencils to colour the images, as I wanted to add some fur-like detail and found that easier on the small images with a really sharp point on my pencils.   Here are the colours I used.

To complete the card, I cut the sloths out with my fine scissors as I wanted them to overhang the Ornate House Grid die and didn't want the white edge the die would leave behind - it is a bit tricky with some of the branches so the dies would do the job if cutting isn't your thing - but I love to fussy cut.  I die cut the house grid from grey woodgrain card from the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Neutrals set.  For the sentiment I used an old Lawn Fawn set - Dad's Day and stamped it in Verdant Versafine Clair to tie the colours into the leaves and the sleep cap.

NEWS FROM THE STORE

• We're catching up on all the arrivals we've had, we still have to add Reverse Confetti to finish and hope to do that tomorrow or Tuesday as Liz is on holiday this week so we'll be on our own packing the weekend's orders tomorrow and as always order packing takes priority over anything else.

• Altenew have a stamp and die release out this week and we have ordered it - just depends on how quickly they process it as to when we get it.  It generally takes them around a week to ship so it might not be here until next week.   We have ordered a handful of the washi tapes too but not many as there was little interest in them in our VIP Facebook group (which you can join if you're a customer!)

• We're getting lots of emails and messages about Lawn Fawn restocks - we do have them coming - we don't yet have an eta.  As always - our out of stock notification system is all you need to find out when something is back - add your email and you'll get an automated email the SECOND we add the stock.   This system also helps us know how many people are waiting for an item so informs our buying decisions.   If older items have no requests, they will not be re-ordered.  The lastest releases are automatically restocked at least a couple of times.
