Being a coffee lover myself, I had to have the Coffee Cuties dies from Sugarpea Designs. I have a few sets with coffee themed phrases and sentiments to mix and match with them, just like this one from Altenews Coffee Talk....

I love the thought that's gone into all these dies with the extra shapes for layering and dimension. I die cut the base coffee jug in grey and added a white bowl on top. For the cup I used the two extra oval dies to add shadow inside the rim and then the coffee itself..... I love the effect it gives. Once I had the die cut pieces assembled I used the Waffleflower Knitted background stencil and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide to make a cosy background on the card base....

For the sentiment I used a Mama Elephant speech bubble in blue card and a sentiment from the Altenew set mentioned above. They looked a little lost floating on the card front so I used a die to cut a strip of brown card to ground them and added a couple of sloshy drips and hearts to complete the scene. I think to receive these two cute characters through the post would certainly bring a smile to someones face.
