Feeling Upbeet!!

Feeling Upbeet!!

I needed a card with a vegtable theme this week to send to a family memeber so I turned to one of my favourite sets from Lawn Fawn... Rooting for You. I love the solid root veg because you can get a lovely mix of colour and depth when using them in a stamp positioner....

I took my inspiration from a t-shirt belonging to my son with beetroot wearing headphones... I had to make the headphones myself by the way as I had nothing suitable in my stash. I stamped the beet and their tops before cutting them out with scissors. I decided to add different eyes to them so I could control which direction they were looking by using small circle dies. I used two of the bubbles from MFT's Fishbowl die set..... I find some of the smaller accent dies in sets so useful for times like this. To make a underground scene for them I used a torn piece of paper across the card and used Distress oxides in three shades of brown to make soil....

I added a subtle blend of blue ink for the sky and attached the beetroot in a row. I left just the right size space to add the sentiment... I do love that font, and a few small musical notes to complete the scene. I wonder what he's listening too...... it certainly doesn't look soothing!!!

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week x
