RUB-A-DUB-DUB

Hi there, Terri here! I know I've been absent for a couple of weeks due to health issues but I'm but and have a cute interactive new baby card to share.

I decided to use the RUB-A-DUB-DUB Stamp Set from Lawn Fawn as I've had it in my stash for a while and it's not had an outing yet. I love the cute little ducks and bath scene you can create. I thought it would be fun to have Mummy duck roundig the duckings up for bath time and then a little suprise, as you pull the tab another duckling appears from behind the bubbles.

I started by stamping all of theimages from the RUB-A-DUB-DUB Stamp Set onto 80lb super smooth cardstock with a black alcohl friendly ink. I then coloured them with my alcohol markers. I added a very light blue around the edges of the ducks as I wanted them to be white but they needed a little somrthign to bring them to life. I then cut the images and placed them to oneside.

Next I started to work on my background, I chose to use 2 patterned papers to give the impression of wallpaper and flooring. I then used the Let's Toast Pull Tab Add On Die to create the interactive element. I knew that the baby duck was going to pop up behind the bubbles so I cut the slot making sure that when the duck was hidden you didnt see any of the workings. I then started to add all the die cut pieces.

To create the sentiment I used Oliver's Stitched ABCs, I cut the work BABY from blue spotty paper and then twice from white card, stackign them together for more dimention. I adhered them to the bottom of the card and then added my sub sentiments from the RUB-A-DUB-DUB Stamp Set . I stamped in green ink onto white card to add a little more green into the scene. I then placed them onto foam pads. Lastly I added a few splashes, some split bubble bath and glossy accents to all the bubbles, wet areas and die cut letters.

I love how this card turned out and the little suprise you get when you pull the tab. It's great to be back crafting and bloging again, thank you for stoping by.
