You Make My Heart Flutter

You Make My Heart Flutter

Hey there crafty friends, Terri here! Today I am creating a card using a Christmas themed stamp set to create a love/valentines card. I will be using the new Winter Birds Stamp Set from Lawn Fawn.

I started off by stamping all of the images from the stamp set onto super smooth cardstock with an alcohol friendly ink, I then coloured them using my alcohol markers. I cut hte images using the Winter Birds Die.

Next I decided to work on my background, I wanted to have a pinky ombre blend so opted for Distress Oxide inks in Tatterered Rose, Kitch Flamingo and Worn Lipstick. I blended from darkest to lightest and then added some white metallic inky splatters.

I then started to work on the die cut section of my sentiment, cutting the word Flutter twice from white card stock using Henry's ABCs Dies. I adhered these together to make thicker die cuts and then added a light blend of Tumbeled Glass Distress Oxide ink to the bottom half of the letters.

I knew that I wanted a white frame on my card so used the largest of both the Large Stitched Rectangles and Small Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut a frame. I placed the smaller die face down on my cutting mat and then placed the large die around it and added lots of washi to hold them together. I cut 4 frames and adhered them together and then added them to my ink blended background.

I adhered the die cut letters to the bottom of the card in a fun uneven line to give the impression on fluttering. I then stamped the "You make my heart" using a sentiment from Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set.

I started to added of of the stamped die cut images using foam pads to create a cute scene. I added some little stamped music notes and noise words around the birds and then embellished with some stickles glitter. I then adde the panel to an A2 note card.
