More Hearts!

More Hearts!

Morning! Deborah here with you today. I’ve made four cards all featuring hearts! I used an older Concord & 9th turnabout stamp – Hearts Turnabout – to make two backgrounds, one in pink and peach, and the other in green and blue.

I used the pink and peach panel for a card for my mum. I trimmed the panel to 5” square, edged it with a red marker and adhered it to the front of a white square card. I used the heart die from Cozy Up dies to cut out a piece of pink card. I used a sentiment from the Sunshine Turnabout stamp set and stamped it in bright red. I added lots of little pink stars around the words. This stamp comes from the Lucky stamp set. I sponged gold ink around the heart, adhered it to the card and finished by adding some gems.

On the inside, I cut a mat panel of pink card and on the white card I stamped a greeting. The words and decoration are from the Kindhearted stamp set.

Next up is a Valentine card for my wonderful husband. The heart on this card was made using Concord & 9th’s Geode stamp set. I stamped the heart in black on water colour card, embossed it with clear powder and then used water colour pens to add colour. I used the co-ordinating heart die from the Geode die set to cut it out. I stamped words from the stamp set in black, added some silver shimmer thread to the card and placed the die cut heart on top.

On the inside, I kept it equally simple. I stamped the heart image again using several different inks. I stamped the word ‘love’ in black over the top; this word comes from Give Thanks stamp set.

I continued the Valentine theme with my next card. This time I used the blue and green heart turnabout panel. I trimmed a strip 2¼” wide and adhered it to the centre of a top folding black A2 card. I used the heart die from the Geode die set to cut a heart from black card. I used an antistatic pad on the black heart and then stamped the word love (from Give Thanks) in Versamark and heat embossed it with white powder. I used dimensional pads to adhere to the front of the card.

Inside, I cut a piece of white card, slightly smaller than the base. I used stamps from Give Thanks for the words and the heart.

My last card is a thank you card for my stash. I used a strip of the blue and green heart background card, 1½” wide and glued it to the front of an A2 card. I cut two thin strips of black card and added that above and below the stamped panel. I finished the front by stamping the word thanks (from Give Thanks) in bold, black ink. The inside is blank for my own message.

Well, that turned out to be a bit longer than I thought. Thanks for sticking with me to the end. Take care and keep safe.

Deborah, x
