Billowing Peonies

Billowing Peonies

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing a floral card featuring the huge 8"x11"Billowing Peonies Stamp Set from Altenew.

I started by cutting a piece of super smooth 80lb cardstock to measure 7.5" by 7.5". I placed this into my Stamp Wheel and then added the large Peony cluster from the Billowing Peonies Stamp Set. I stamped this in black ink. The stamp wheel really was useful here, I don't have an acrylic block big enough for the stamp and being so large I needed to stamp a couple of times to ensure full coverage. I like how the top plate clicks in and is 100% perfect in alignment everytime.

Next I started to add colour to the image using the Billowing Peonies Layering Stencil Set. The Yellow peony was coloured using shades of yellow and orange from the Pocketful Of Sunshine and Summer Afternoon crips dye inks. The pink flower was coloured using Cherry Blossom and Rhodolite from the Jewel Tones crips dye inks. I used the Natures Wonders set to colour the leaves and add detail to the centres of the flowers.

I decided to add a foiled and die cut sentiment using the Versatile Greetings Die Set and Versatile Greetings Hot Foil Plate along with gold foil. To bring the card together I trimmed the floral panel to measure 3.75" by 5.5" being very particular about which area to use. I cut a strip of blackand white diagonal strippped paper and added it to the left of an A2 note card. I then added a thin strip of gold glitter card before adding the floral panel. Lastly I added the sentiment using foam pads.
