Elevating a stencilled card

Elevating a stencilled card

Hey there, today I am sharing some tips on how to elevate your stencilled cards. I will be using the Flower Vines Layering Stencil  from Altenew. This stencil is a 3 part layered stencil which givves an all over pattern.

I started by stencilling the pattern on to Neenah Solar Crest cardstock. I used an anlaogous color palette, which is a very different look. I added a hot pink to the flower sections and then some deep purple, I love how the blended colour look. I used areally nice dark turquoise for the stems and leave.

I felt that the ink blended background needed something to elevate it as it looked a little to flat, so I added some white gel pen higlights. This really helped to add interest but I wanted more! I thought that adding a debossed Dotted Scales pattern would be cool and boy it really did.

Lastly I added a sentiment using the Thank You Die. I cut it 3 times from black card and once from a dark teal, I adhered them all together and then added a glitter glue top coat which adds a special touch. Lastly I added the stencilled panel to an A2 navy blue note card.
