Whimsical Wings

Whimsical Wings

Good Morning, it's a cold and icy one here in Bristol, I hope you are wrapped up warm wherever you are. Do you send thank you card to those who have sent you gifts over the Christmas Period? I find that I never have enough in my box of made cards so decided to create a card that I could easily batch make.

I started of by stenciling the Whimsical Wings Layering Stencils onto a piece of 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock. I find that using a Stencil Mat really helps as you can butt the stencils into the top corner each time and know it will line up perfectly.

Next I used the Whimsical Wings Die set to cut the butterfly from peach and yellow cardstock. I then used the Faux stitching dies to add the beautiful details on the wings. I adhered the layers of the butterfly with a wet glue and set it aside.

I trimmed the stencilled panel to measure 4" by 5.25" and added it to a peach A2 notecard. I then stamped one of the sentiments from the Whimsical Wings Stamp set using the same green ink I used for the leaves. I then cut it with teh banner die from the die set. To bring everything together I added the butterfly with foam tape and placed the sentiment over the top. I then added a few clear liquid drops to embellish.
