Todays blog post is a bit different as I've decided to step down from the design team so it will be my last. A change in circumstances in family life and wanting to persue other crafty hobbies too means something had to give. I've been on the team for 11 years working with Tara, Rick and the many past and present members of the DT, not forgetting the two previous owners of this amazing online store.... I'm very grateful and its been a pleasure :) and sooooo.... onto my last card and I decided to go with one of my favoutite themes... plants of course, in this case succulents....

As I've said before, the Little Agenda stamps are great for filling space or using as an accent to embellish sentiments... perfect for Clean & Simple cards. I couldn't choose which of these little cacti to use so I stamped them all out and used Copics to colour them in and used the dies to cut them out too. I used a limited colour palette so they looked coherent together and coloured them in a graphic style which works well as they're quite small for detailed shading. I added a few markings to the pots using markers and gel pens to give the imprssion of texture and pattern.

Next was figuring out the grid, arranging them took a few attempts to get the balance of colour and shape right in my eyes! Then I had to make a space to add the sentiment which is an old stamp from my stash but I loved the style which looked at home amongst those succulents. After stamping the greeting I added the pots using foam dimensionals..... Oh and not sure if I can have a favourite but I do love that leafy plant in the neutral spotty pot on the top row :)

So it's a big Thank You from me to Tara and the team at Seven Hills as well as yourselves, it's been a fun creative journey making cards to share with you on the blog so Thank You for reading, liking and commenting on any of the socials ..... I hope you've gained some crafty inspiration from them :)
