Spring Leaves
I have a simple and colourful card to show you today using Waffleflowers Spring Leaves dies, these dies are just so lovely to work with and can be bright and whimsy or simple and classy depending on the materials you use.
I went with bright and whimsy as I have a selection of pieces of watercolured card I've made myself which I keep in my stash to use for die cutting or backgrounds.... this was the perfect use for them. The set contains five different leaf styles and each one has a base layer and a detail line image to place over the base. I cut quite a few of the base layer from the watercoloured card...
For the outline layer I used white card and attached them with glue.... next to think of how to use them on the card front! Well I said the card was simple.... I just arranged them on the card base although it actually took a while to get it right, quite a lot of phaffing and re-jigging took place!
I felt a white heat embossed sentiment on black card was all that was needed and I cut the strip to span the card front.... I love the stark contrast between the colours and the black.
