Perfectly Ink Blended Background

Perfectly Ink Blended Background

Today I am sharing a card using Altenew's Painted Rainbow stamp set. I started out by cutting a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock and dusting with a ton of baby powder. I then embossed the Paisley background using a gold embossing powder.

I then grabbed some distress oxide inks; I used Salvaged Patina, Mermaid Lagoon and Seedless Perserves. The key to a good blend is not only the right surface but building up the colour and going back and forth to blend the colours.

Once the ink had dried I used a dried baby wipe to buff the surface and remove the ink from the embossed areas. I then added heat embossed senitments and some black twine.
