Smile
Happy Thursday!
Today I wanted to send some smiles across the miles and finally got round to inking up the Concord & 9th Rainbow Turnabout. I know, shame on me, it has taken me a while!
I decided to make two cards and I originally started with only Concord & 9th Peek-Through Patterns stamp set, but then as I had stamped my sentiment I caught a glimse of the rainbow stamp and it inspired me instantly.
For my first card I had already stamped the SMILE on my square card base in black ink, so I decided to create a mask for the letters so that I could then stamp the rainbow.
I use my stamping tool to stamp turnabouts and I have now created a centre dot with lines on my base pad to easily line up turnabout stamps!
As you can see I went for a traditional rainbow colour scheme for this first card using C9 Poppy, Buttercup, Sprout and Oceanside inks. I used another of the smaller sentiments from Peek-Through Patterns to go with the smile sentiment.
For my second card today I wanted to use an ombre style colour scheme and stamped the rainbow turnabout first onto my base card.
This time I used C9 Aqua Sky, Sea Glass, Oceanside and Peacock inks. I then stamped the SMILE sentiment in black ink and decided to colour it in with a fine liner so that it stood prominently on the card.
Just the two cards from me today, but I hope they have brought a smile to your face today.
