Adventure Awaits

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing a road trip inspired card using lots of products from Lawn Fawn's newest release. Let's jump in and see how I created my project.

I started by cutting a piece of 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock to measure 5.75" by 4.5", I cut in smaller after using a stitched rectangle die. I then used the new Beach Sunset Stencil to add the sun set to my card. I started by masking a horizon line with satin masking tape and ink blending the sea beneath, then addig the suns reflection on the water, I then shifted the masking tape and ink blended the Sunset and birds in the sky.

I stamped out the car using the Car Critters Stamp Set and coloured it using alcohol markers. I then used the Car Critters Die Set to cut the car image out. Next I used the Car Critters Road Trip Add-On Stamp Set to stamp the critters for in the car and the beach items for on top. Again I coloured them with alcohol markers and used the Car Critters Road Trip Add-On Die Set to cut them.

I decided that I needed a hill in front of the water to give the effect that there is sand either side of the road, I used the Slimline Stitched Hillside Border Dies to cut a piece of beige cardstock and then added some light brown ink. At this point I thought it would be a good idea to add some Palm trees either side of the road. I used the Beach Sunset Stencil and distress oxide inks, I love how this stencil has so many images that help build the beach scene.

Now to help bring it all together I cut the On The Road Die from black and yellow cardstock. This die is so cool, I didn't know that I needed it but as soon as I saw it I was sold. Now it was time to assemble everything I started by adding the hill and then using a Large Stitched Rectangle Die to cut the base panel to measure 4.25" by 5.5" and adhered it to an A2 notecard.

I then added the road to the card and then the card, critters and beach items using foam pads. I stamped a sentiment onto a banner which I cut using the Everyday Sentiment Banner Die. Lastly I added some glossy accents to the headlight of the car.

I am so happy with this card, I wish I was one on theose critters driving off in the sunset rather tahn sitting here in the rain...
