Autumnal Feathers

Autumnal Feathers

Morning! Deborah here with you today. I've made a couple of cards for my kids. They are based on the same layout from the current CAS(E) that Sketch challenge. I'll start with the card I made for Kat:

This is a large card, measuring 5" x 7". I started by stamping the background panels. I used MFT's Brush Splatter Background and stamped it in peach. I used some stitch edge dies to cut rectangles and then cut them to size, so that the stitch pattern only appears on the top and bottom of each panel. I adhered the panels to the card. I've had this Altenew Golden Feather stamp set for ages, and this is the first time I've used it!! There are three lovely layered feathers in the set. I stamped the outlines in one colour and used another colour for the patterns. I then cut out the feathers with the matching Altenew Golden Feather dies. I adhered the feathers flat to the card. I finished the front with a simple 'Hello, Hey, Hi' greeting from MFT's Greetings & Salutations stamp set. There are so many super sentiments in this set. I left the inside of the card blank so that there's plenty of space for my message to Kat.  My card for Ben, uses the same layout, but this time on a long, skinny card:

I used shades of blue, green and yellow for this card. I decided to use the 'cleaner' looking feather for Ben's card. I stamped it in dark blue and added the pattern with a duck egg blue ink. The sentiment comes from the MFT's Greetings & Salutations stamp set. It's perfect for Ben as he struggles with agorophobia and other issues. Once again, I've left the inside blank for my message.

These cards came together really quickly as I used the same layout and simply altered the inks and card size. That's all from me today. See you again soon.

Deborah, x
