Hey Beautiful

Hey Beautiful

Hello & Happy Thursday,

I’m back this week with some more Altenew / Amy Tangerine collaboration inspiration. I’ve been on a vellum kick this past week or so and I was inspired to try it with the flowers from Hug Life.

I started out with a piece of vellum the same size as my card base. I then stamped the flowers in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then fussy cut along the top and the bottom of the flowers, leaving a small straight edge on either side to line up to my card when adhering.

Before adhering the flowers to my white card base I added colour to the reverse side of the vellum using alcohol markers. A couple of reasons for adding the colour to the back. 1. You don’t need to worry about the colour getting onto the embossed lines. 2. It’s quicker and 3. It softens the colours.

To adhere the vellum to the card I use a fine tip glue and put small dots along the embossed lines to hide the stickiness. To finish the card I used one of the sentiments from the set and added a few Concord & 9th Sunflower Enamel Dots.

That’s all from me this week.
