Happy Jawsome Thursday!

My creative mojo has been on a bit of a go slow this past week, so for todays card I went back to using a challenge to spark my creativity.

Using an online blog challenge is fun and it is something I used to use a lot in the past to keep the creativity flowing. Sometimes they don’t spark anything, but more often than not, it just gives a starting point.

Today I have used the current sketch over at CAS Colours and Sketches HERE for my starting point. Often, when people see the word CAS they instantly think the ‘space’ has to be white space. CAS means clean and simple. So minimal fuss and clutter. The ‘space’ doesn’t have to white.

My background looks a little more ‘busy’ but it’s purely created with simple masking & ink blending to create a choppy sea with horizon background. I used a variety of Altenew ink collections, listed at the end of the post.

I then used the sketch to place the shark from the Avery Elle Jawsome stamp set and the punny sentiment. I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out and coloured with alcohol markers to add a bit of bright crispness to the images.
