Rooting For You

Rooting For You

I'm back with my love of plants today using this fab stamp set from Concord & 9th called Rooting for You. I've made a clean and simple card using a monochrome background along with a splash of colour added from the plants and their pots..

To start, I ripped a piece of copy paper and used the two torn edges as a mask on my card front and stamped the Herringbone background between them. I used a dark grey pigment ink so it wasnt too stark. I stamped and cut three plants from the set and used the dies to cut three pots and two shelves..... unfortunately the dies are currently out of stock but you could always try using scissors or a craft knife instead.

I've used scraps of patterned card/paper to make the pots... even added some gold leaf for dipped metallic look on one of the pots. I arranged the elements over the two shelves and used foam dimensionals to attach them to the card front. I think I've got shelf envy now and would love some wallpaper like that too!!

This card blank had a strip missing for some reason so I added a piece of dotty cardstock to make up the front panel and accent the scene :)

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
