Lemony Hugs

Hello! I hope everyone is keeping well in these very strange times. I've been making cards and mixing up products from several companies. I've got a couple of cards to share with you this morning. The first card is bold and bright:

I used Zest Wishes from Hero Arts for the panel. I stamped the lemons and flowers on white card, coloured them in and then restamped using Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear powder. I like this technique as it gives clear, crisp images. I used some sparkly pens to add lots of little dots around the main images. I adhered the panel to the bottom of the card and edged it with a thin strip of black card. I used Waffle Flower Simply Said 1 stamps and die to create the greeting. I stamped the word in lilac ink and cut it out with the matching die. I layered the stamped image on several plain die cut words and then adhered it to the card.

Inside the card, I cut a strip of lilac card and on the white panel added a fun sentiment, along with one of the little flowers. I added shimmer to all the lemons and flowers using a clear shimmer brush.  My next card is very clean and simple:

I got the inspiration for this card from Less is More where they want us to make a one layer card with no sentiment. Sadly, I got black ink on the card I made and had to cut out the image, so I can't play along with them, but I did use the image. I used Altenew's Botanical Garden and Geo Frames to create the panel. I stamped the frame in the middle of the card, masked off the bottom edge and then stamped the butterfly and flower. I coloured the images and then used my favourite technique to restamp and emboss the coloured images. I adhered the finished panel in the centre of my card. I love the simplicity of this design and with no sentiment it can be used for just about any occasion.

That's all from me today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Keep safe and see you next week.
