Aloha

Aloha

Hello & Happy Thursday.

I don't know about you, but I am starting to wonder whether the warmer weather is going to arrive this Spring. Just yesterday it felt like Winter as I put the heating on for a short burst, just as the heavens opened with a hail storm!

This inspired me to ink up another of my newest additions to my ever growing stamp collection, Mama Elephant Hibiscus Wishes. I love the Hibiscus as it reminds me of my wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii and I was particularly drawn to this set because of the fun outline sentiments it contains too.

For my card today I decided to dust off my VersaFine Clair inks, mainly because I had a 'cheat' idea for quick colouring AND because the inks are beautifully vibrant. Bringing the tropical vibe I wanted. The colours I've used are Charming Pink, Warm Breeze, Summertime, Cheerful and Verdant.

So after stamping the images from the set in these colours, I went on to select and colour with a lighter shade of alcohol marker. This gives a really nice look of being coloured with care and attention, but in reality is pretty wuick and the detail of the stamp does the work for you!

I arranged the fussy cut flowers and leaves onto my card using double sided tape and foam adhesive to adhere them with interest of depth.

I finished the card off with the Aloha sentiment also stamped in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and coloured with a light grey marker. It was a delight to make this vibrant, cheerful, yet clean and simple card. I hope that it has brought cheer to your day too.

That's all from me this week, until the next time. Thanks for stopping by!
