Large Blooms & Messy Watercolours!

Large Blooms & Messy Watercolours!

Hello & Happy Thursday.

Today I was in the mood for large blooms and messy watercoloring.

I reached for the Hero Arts - Altenew Bloom & Grow stamp set. It’s been a while since I inked up this gorgeous big bloom and I thought the style of the flower was perfect for the messy watercolours.

I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the bloom in opposing corners. I gave it a little blast with my heat gun to make sure the ink was set before colouring.

I chose a nice bright raspberry pink to colour the blooms and I simply layered the colour to get darker shades until I was happy with the look. I then trimmed and mounted the panel onto a 14 cm square Concord & 9th Honeysuckle card base.

The sentiment is stamped and embossed onto a circle of the same card. I then trimmed the right edge and adhered it to my card using foam adhesive.

I love how cheerful this card turned out.

That’s all from me this week.
