Christmas Roses

Christmas Roses

Hey & Happy Thursday!

I would also like to wish all our American followers and those who celebrate a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Today I am sharing a Christmas floral card, which I created using a non-Christmas floral stamp set. I used Avery Elle's Layered Rose Stamp. I love this layered rose stamp set and I've used it a few times on the blog.

When I set out to making my card I really wanted to make something floral, but also festive so I could add to my Christmas card stash!

I needed a little bit of a sprinboard with where to start. There are so many places you can go for inspiration on the internet these days, Pinterest and Instagram are usually where I turn to first, but I also use good old Google a lot too! I went to Google and simply typed in Christmas Roses and an adevert for a Christmas Rose Cross stitch popped up and the layout captured my interest and I used this as my springboard.

As you can see the cross stitch design has some lovely foliage peeking out either end and although the Layered Rose Stamp comes with leaves, which I used, I also wanted something longer to fill a slimline card and replicate the layout. So I reached for another favourite, WPlus9 Winter Greenery.

Hopefully on this close up photo of my card you can see I added dimension by stamping on the card base as well as adding some of the leaves and roses with double sided tape and foam adhesive.

I've used Altnew inks to stamp the roses and the leaves. The sentiment is from Concord & 9th All The Merrys stamp set and is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. That's all from me today, I hope I have inspired you to look at your non Christmas stash in a festive way to get even more from them!

Thanks for stopping by & Crafty Hugs Bev
