Bold Blooms and Foiled Marble

Bold Blooms and Foiled Marble

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing a really bright floral card with foiled accents.

I started by stamping the large floral image from the Gracious peonies Stamp Set onto Neenah Solar Crest 80lb cardstock using Altenew's Obsidian pigment ink pad. I then used the Gracious Peonies Simple Colouring and Layering Stencil to add colour to the image. I used the Golden Sunset Ink Pads for the flowers and the Green Valley Ink Pads for the leaves. I then cut the image using the Gracious Peonies Die.

Next I set about hot foiling all of the elemnets needed for my card, I used the Exquisite Marble Hot Foil Plate for the background and the Versatile Greetings Hot Foil Plate Set for the sentiments. I foiled using Altenew's Brushed Gold Hot Foil. I cut the foiled sentiment using the Versatile Greetings Die Set, this is a really useful set that allows you to cut the foiled words or cut a two layer word sentiment!

Now it was time to put everything together. I started by trimming the Marbeled background to measure 4" by 5.5" and added it to an A2 card blank using foam tape. I then added the floral image, agaain using foam tape (I love the added dimension). I then placed the foiled die cut word over the flowers and added a few Orange Enamel Dots from the Warm and Cosy set.

I hope you've enjoyed today's project, thank you for stopping by.
