Delightful Day

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am sharing a floral card featuring the Delightful Day Stamp Set from Altenew.

This stamp set is a little different as it was designed to work with the Stamp Wheel. The main floral stamp has all of the layers on one stamp and you use the Stamp Wheel to rotate the stamp and align the layers, taking the guess work out of the layering. The Trifold insert has a stamping guide explaining how to do this.

If you dont have the stamp wheel you can still use this stamp set by either using the stamp in a more traditonal way, stamping each layer by roatating the large stamp on an acrylic block or by doing a little stamp surgery and cutting it into the four layers!

I started by aligning the floral image from the Delightful Day Stamp Set onto the Flip plate of the Stamp Wheel. There is a etched cross in the centre of the flip plate and the stamp has a cross in the centre too. I stamped the layers of the flower using Altenew's Martian Terrain Oval Ink Pads.

I then set about stamping the leaves, this works in the same way as the main floral image. This time I used the Nature Wonders Oval Ink Pads. I stamped two sets of leaves and then stamped some of the delicate sprigs using the Martian Terrain Oval Ink Pads.

Using the coordinating Delightful Day Die Set I die cut all of the images. This stamp set has two large sentients that have dies to cut them, I love it when companies do this, it gives a really different look to your project.

To create the background I embossed a piece of 300gsm cardstock using the Modern Lines 3D Embossing Folder, I trimmed this to measure 5" by 3.75" and added it to a white A2 cardbase using foam tape. I added all of the die cut elements using foam tape and then added a few enamel dots to embellish.

I'm really happy with how this card turned out, using the stamp wheel was a really unique experiance but it helps so much when layering images. I will definatly be using it more in the future.
